Providence is calling a Mission Int Manager ( Spiritual Care , Day Shift, 1 FTE - 40 hours per week) to Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:
Works collaboratively with Mission Integration leadership to advance overall Mission, Values and Vision.
Collaborates with others to integrate Ministry identity within key areas of assignment and accountability through specific initiatives and programs.
Helps to foster a culture of theological and spiritual reflection, discernment, and Catholic identity within teams and areas of responsibility.
Builds and maintains personal trust and integrity-based relationships with major stakeholders.
Will facilitate various programs, initiatives, and opportunities to address the formation needs of caregivers, providers, and others.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Health Care Mission or related field of ministry preferred, or willingness to pursue degree. A combination of education and experience may substitute for degree required
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of three years of progressive responsibility in a related field as a health care professional or administration of Mission related programs or services. Minimum of one year supervisory or management experience
Demonstrates maturity, judgment, and leadership to be an effective and trusted contributor and colleague to the Mission leadership team to inspire and influence others in pursuit of the goals of the ministry of PSJH.
Demonstrated competence in verbal and written communication

Providence Valdez Medical Center is an 11 bed Critical Access Hospital co-located with a licensed 10 bed Long Term Care facility. Our team of physicians, nurses, therapists, technicians, clinicians and support staff provide quality and compassionate inpatient and outpatient health care to patients and residents.
